When to report

Report a link if it points at phishing, malware, or other harmful material. You need no account and you do not have to leave an email address.

What happens next

A report does not remove the link automatically. A person looks at it. That is deliberate: a service that removes a link on any report is a service anyone can use to make any link disappear.

If a link is taken down it returns 410 Gone afterwards and points nowhere. The row stays in our database so there is a record of where it pointed.
